‘Antim’: Mahesh Manjrekar defers October release of the Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma starrer
Although Salman Khan has wrapped up the shooting of Mahesh Manjrekar’s directorial, ‘Antim’, the superstar has to wait for a long time before it releases in theatres. The film, which was originally scheduled to release in October, has been deferred owing to the present circumstances.
Talking to a news portal, the filmmaker revealed that they were supposed to launch the posters of the film by the end of March which was canceled. According to him, they are afraid to go ahead as they are not aware of what the future holds. The release of the film has also been pushed ahead indefinitely as Manjrekar doesn’t feel the theatres will open by October.
Besides, the theatres have been shut for so long that many films are waiting to be released. According to the report, Salman is emotionally invested in the film as it’s an important film for brother-in-law Aayush Sharma, who plays the gangster to the superstar’s Sikh cop. With the second wave of the pandemic taking over the country, the makers thought it best to wait it out.
On the other hand, Salman is now gearing up for ‘Tiger 3’ with Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in the lead role. This is the third film in the superstar’s popular ‘Tiger’ franchise. Apart from this, he also has ‘Kick 2’, co-starring Jacqueline Fernandez and ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’ with Pooja Hegde.
