Avika Gor rejected the brand endorsement of fairness cream, would salute knowing the reason
Television actress Avika Gor says that over time beauty creams have created the position that fairness means beauty, but she does not agree with it. Avika has made her identity with shows like ‘Balika Vadhu’, ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ and ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’. She did not accept the deal for three fairness cream brands. She says that society cannot make idols of any one colour.

Avika Gor said, ‘The situation that beauty creams have created over time, it seems that fairness equals beauty and success and it gives us confidence. However, this is not true at all. Our confidence comes from our work ethic and knowledge.

Avika Gor further said, ‘We as a society cannot make idols of one colour. There should be some change in this trend. I am blessed that I don’t have to worry about not getting money. Such things have a bad effect on the society. So, I refused to work in those ads.’
