At the nursing home Le Bastion, the Fête des Familles was marked at the end of last week by a concert by the young singer Marilou, originally from Narbonne, and former candidate for the show The Voice Kids.
A lovely moment. One of those who are good for morale after 18 months of restrictions and often loneliness for residents of nursing homes. Last Friday, the Ehpad le Bastion organized the Family Day. For the occasion, the director of the establishment had invited Marilou, candidate of The Voice Kids 2020, to come and sing between 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. during the meal which brought together the residents, therefore, and their families as well as the staff. of the Ehpad.
There are 75 residents at the Bastion and around 40 of them participated in the party. “There are a lot of families on vacation, but all the same, we are very happy with the result”, rejoiced the director Anaïs Mansencal. “The goal was to create a convivial moment, and I think it was successful. It feels good to everyone to let go after these 18 months of crisis.”
For Marilou, a 16-year-old Narbonnaise, it was a first. She had never given voice in an nursing home. “It’s very nice”, she commented. “I am really very happy about it.” This summer, Marilou, whose singing teacher is Alexandre Chassagnac and vocal coach Aurélie Julia from the Art Studio school in Narbonne, performed the opening acts for Stars 80 and the finalist troupe of The Voice in Argelers-sur-Mer. in the Pyrénées-Orientales.
