Lot. Gourdonnaise singer Joce in exceptional concert in the caves of Lacave

the essential
The singer of Gourdon Joce will give a concert in an unusual place: the caves of Lacave. See you on Saturday September 11 for this unexpected evening.

Singer Joce is one of the Lot’s most popular artists. Gourdonnaise singer-songwriter, she expresses life with passion and tenderness. Joce is preparing an exceptional concert to say the least. Her enchanting voice will be conveyed by the rich acoustics of the mineral world, and this will occur in the depths of the Lacave caves on September 11.

But first, let’s go back to his journey. Joce has traveled across France and sung beyond our borders. She released two albums in 2008 and 2013, performed at the Festival d’Avignon in 2017 and 2018, won the first jury prize for the Silver Truffle in 2019 with her song “Si j’ai”, dedicated to singer Barbara Weldens.

The list of his successes is long! With her last opus “Multas Vitas”, released in 2019, in which she signed twelve titles of her pen, Joce appears on stage in a piano / voice duo accompanied by the pianist Benjamin Barria, but also in a quartet, with in addition a accordionist and percussionist.

A fourth album in preparation

After a summer season started in June, Joce is already working on his fourth album. The schedule of concerts for the next few months will take her all over France. But the Lotois will be able to find Joce, in quartet, with in particular this date not to be missed at the caves of Lacave, Saturday September 11 at 8:30 p.m., with violinist Camille Calvayrac in the first part. An event organized by the Lot association Les Petites Notes, as part of their Les Curieuses musicales event, in partnership with the Lot departmental council.

Joce recounts a daily life where the “worms” collide. Accompanied by a piano, an accordion and percussions, his music goes from an intimate purity to more sustained orchestrations. No genre, no style: swing, tango, stroll… a mixture of poetry and humor. Contagious energy and 100% French song. Her singular voice and her interpretations make her an artist “that we won’t forget”.

Tickets are on sale in all tourist offices in the Dordogne Valley, but also in Gourdon, as well as on site, on the evening of the concert.
