‘Matrix Resurrections’ trailer: Keanu Reeves returns as Neo 18 years later

The fourth installment in the saga, directed by Lana Wachowski and again starring Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity, opens in theaters on December 17.

Keanu Reeves (John Wick) come back as Neo 18 years later in Matrix Resurrections. The fourth installment in the saga created by sisters Lilly and Lana Wachowski and a sequel to Matrix (1999), Matrix Reloaded (2003) and Matrix Revolutions (2003), hits theaters on December 17 in Spain and Warner Bros. has released the first preview of the film.

After the studio showed small fragments of film making the user choose between the blue or the red pill, the preview gives more clues about this new installment. In the trailer, Neo appears going to therapy. It seems that does not remember anything about what happened in the previous deliveries and is medicated. Not even Trinity, when the two meet and shake hands, seem to know him.

Neo tells his therapist, right after seeing a black cat, that he has been having strange dreams and the action begins when a woman with a rabbit tattoo He tells him that if he wants to know the truth, he must follow it. The song ‘White Rabbit’ from Jeffersonn Airplane begins to be heard. It is then that the protagonist enters the Matrix again: fights, a character that looks like a young Morpheus, explosions, shootings …

On this occasion, it is only Lana Wachowski who stands behind the cameras and co-writes the script – along with David Mitchell – for the fourth installment. In addition to the returns of Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss (Jessica Jones) as Neo and Trinity, respectively, Matrix: Resurrections it has new faces. This is the case of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Aquaman), Jessica Henwick (Iron Fist), Jonathan Groff (MINDHUNTER), Priyanka Chopra (White Tiger) y Neil Patrick Harris (A series of catastrophic misfortunes).
