The Tinte’Âme’Art music school participated in the Montcuq associations forum on September 5th. Tinte’Âme’Art shines in four municipalities which provide municipal premises: Montcuq, Limogne, Lalbenque and Castelnau-Montratier, where the music school is based. The structure is part of the network of fourteen music schools in the Lot. It is financially supported by the departmental council and by the two communities of communes of Quercy blanc and Pays de Lalbenque-Limogne which grant the school a subsidy calculated in proportion to the number of inhabitants of each community.
Registrations are in progress. We should reach the usual figure of 230 students at the start of the school year set for September 20. The musical offer has grown with no less than fifteen instruments which are taught individually by fourteen teachers, including a pedagogical manager. This ranges from classical lessons like the violin, the piano, the cello, the flute… to more atypical instruments like the hurdy-gurdy. Among the novelties, the school offers computer-assisted music (MAO), a guitar workshop, teaching of the double bass and bass. The emphasis is on musical awakening and collective practice with eight disciplines taught in workshops, from the age of 7: choral singing, current music which brings together students practicing different instruments in order to play together, a chamber music class, traditional music, jazz, orchestral practice, steeldrum and a novelty: classical and Brazilian percussion (batucada). The school also works in schools and with people with disabilities (music therapy). A discovery class is planned, as well as three cultural and musical outings.
