‘Narcos: México’: release date, trailer, Bad Bunny and everything we know about the third (and last) season

Netflix has announced a premiere date while confirming that the series is facing its final stretch.

Narcos: Mexico, the complementary series to Narcos with which Netflix decided to replace the fourth season of the unforgettable fiction in 2018, faces its final stretch. This has been announced by the ‘streaming’ platform, which has shared a ‘teaser’ in which it announces the release date of the new episodes, yes, but at the same time confirms that the season 3 of Narcos: Mexico will put the finishing touch to the history of drug trafficking in the Central American country. With the end of the series starring Michael Peña and Diego Luna, Netflix also says goodbye to an authentic mass phenomenon that began with the story of Pablo Escobar and that continued to expand with this new story outside of Colombia also with great success.

When does season 3 of Narcos: Mexico premiere?


The final season of Narcos: Mexico premieres in full on Friday November 5, 2021. The season, like the previous ones, will consist of 10 episodes which will be made available in full on Netflix on that date.

The expected premiere occurs exactly a year and a half after the premiere of the second installment, broadcast on the streaming platform in February 2020, just before the crisis in the industry caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The third season of Narcos: Mexico will have tthree new regular characters: Luis Gerardo Méndez as Victor Tapia, a policeman from Juarez with a moral dilemma; Alberto Guerra as Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada, an independent drug dealer who is always one step ahead of the rest and silently; and Luisa Rubino as Andrea Nuñez, an idealistic and ambitious young journalist whose mission to expose corruption leads her to a much bigger story than anticipated.

Likewise, the regular members Scoot McNairy, Jose Maria Yazpik, Alfonso Dosal, Mayra Hermosillo, Matt Letscher, Manuel Masalva, Alejandro Edda and Gorka Lasaosa remain in the cast.

Bad Bunny and his acting debut


One of the surprises of season 3 of Narcos: Mexico is that it will mean the television debut of Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, better known as Bad Bunny. The famous Puerto Rican rapper and songwriter is one of the season’s guest stars and in it he will play Arturo “Kitty” Paez, a member of a band known as the “Narco Juniors”, young people with connections and money who live in high society. but they are drawn to the life of the cartels, money, crime, drugs and violence.
