Netflix announces interactive horror movie for Halloween

There is already a Halloween tune on Netflix. The streaming giant has just announced the release of its next horror film which will be interactive! Worn by stars of American wrestling, the feature will be available on the platform in time for Halloween. We are already shivering!

It’s a rather original project that Netflix has concocted with WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment). The streaming giant has teamed up with American wrestling stars for “Escape the Undertaker”. This horror film will have the particularity of being interactive like the film “Black Mirror: Bandersnatch” released in 2018 on Netflix. Viewers will therefore be able to decide what to do next.

Subscribers to the streaming platform will be able to discover this novelty on Tuesday, October 5, well before Halloween, on October 31.

“Escape the Undertaker” will follow the adventures of American wrestlers Big E, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston. This trio, which form The New Day, the most successful wrestling team in WWE history, will visit the mansion of The Undertaker, considered one of the most cult wrestlers in the profession. However, very quickly, the three muscular gentlemen will discover that the mansion is haunted and is the scene of paranormal phenomena. Viewers will have to decide the fate of the three wrestlers in order to survive The Undertaker’s rage.

This is not the first time that Netflix has teamed up with WWE to release a project on its platform. The American company had launched “The Big Show Show” with the American wrestler Big Show, whose real name is Paul Donald Wight jr, in April 2020. At the same time, Netflix had released the film “The masked wrestler” which told of the tale of an 11-year-old boy who dreams of becoming a professional WWE wrestler.

With “Escape the Undertaker”, Netflix adds one more title to its collection of interactive films. The American giant made a splash with “Black Mirror: Bandersnatch” three years ago before reiterating the genre with the special episode of “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the Reverend” in May 2020.
