Plans for ‘Avengers 5’ have already begun, says Kevin Feige

The creator of the largest cinematic universe in cinema is rebuilding a world for the superheroes of La Casa de las Ideas.

Whatever you do from now on, Kevin Feige will go down in history for having built the greatest cinematic universe in the history of cinema. It started in 2008 with Iron Man and ended with Avengers: Endgame in 2019 -well, okay, with Spider-Man: Far From Home, but it is not so round. Now another stage begins, Phase 4, which is made up of old acquaintances and new additions. What objective does the studio have with these productions? Do you want to repeat the same formula?

Perhaps it is still too early to talk about what we can expect from the new phase of Marvel, but Kevin Feige has recently stated, in an interview on Collider, who are already working to build a new saga. Avengers 5 already underway.

We want there to be a reasonable amount of time from ‘Endgame’ until we start the new saga, which is on its way and has begun. Then you need some time like we did in phase one to build the saga before you start putting everyone together.

The truth is that you don’t have to be very clever to realize that they are at it. Between series and movies released in recent months, we’ve already seen a handful of confirmations – or clues – for Marvel’s Phase 4. For example, we know that Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) is the new Captain America thanks to Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Or, as we saw in Black widow, that Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), the sister of Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) has a pending account that will probably settle in Hawkeye.

Feige himself declared not long ago that he did not know who was going to form the new great team of superheroes, but in reality he has it more clear than he wants us to believe. Recently, Shang Chi (Simu Liu), the last Marvel premiere, was welcomed to the Avengers team in a ‘teaser’. It’s barely 15 seconds, but it makes it clear that Shang Chi is ready to fight alongside his teammates. “Marvel’s New Avenger Is Here” appears in the trailer.

As Feige says, the MCU is not built overnight and it takes many years, series, movies and characters for everything to be well connected and ready to have something similar to the Infinity Saga. Meanwhile, you can always enjoy Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings in theaters.
