France pays tribute to Jean-Paul Belmondo. A national tribute is organized at the Invalides in Paris, this Thursday afternoon, three days after the announcement of the actor’s death at the age of 88. Emmanuel Macron will deliver the eulogy in front of the relatives and family of Jean-Paul Belmondo.
700 guests will attend this national tribute including several actors such as Alain Delon, Guillaume Canet or Jean Dujardin. 1000 places have been reserved for the public in the courtyard of the Invalides. The public will be able to attend the ceremony thanks to two giant screens installed outside.
At the end of the eulogy, there will be a minute of silence then the Marseillaise. The public will then be able to gather in front of Jean-Paul Belmondo’s coffin. The funeral will be celebrated tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the Saint-Germain-des-Prés church in Paris.
