Season 3 of ‘Succession’ finally has a premiere date after two years of waiting (and it’s close)

The acclaimed series returns to HBO next October with a delivery marked by the family civil war.

The long wait to enjoy Season 3 of Succession is about to come to an end. Just when they are going to be fulfilled two years from the end of the second installment of the series, HBO has announced the release date for the new episodes, and you’ll be glad to hear that they are just around the corner. The third season of Succession will consist of 9 episodes -1 less than the previous two- and will be released next Sunday, October 17 on its original network. Nevertheless, HBO Spain has already confirmed that it will be available in our country the next day, October 18.

Created by Jesse Armstrong, the series has a strong fan base around the world who have surrendered to its charms. In fact, although it is already a little far away, fiction was the great winner at the 2019 Emmy Awards gala, in which it garnered a total of seven awards and among which was included the most important of each year, the one that the I recognized how Best Drama Series Against Major Competitors.

What can we expect from season 3 of Succession? According to the official description of the new installment, “after being ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall in the season 2 finale, Logan Roy begins season 3 in a dangerous position, fighting to secure family, political and financial alliances.” And, as if that were not enough, “tensions rise when a bitter business battle threatens to escalate into a family civil war.”

The news of the expected release date has also been accompanied by a poster starring Kendall and Logan, which is accompanied by what will be the slogan of the season: “You move.”


Among the cast members who will be back in season 3, we can have Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck, Nicholas Braun, Matthew Macfadyen and a long etcetera, although we can also enjoy new faces: First of all, Alexander SkarsgĂ„rd, in the role of the CEO of a technology company called Lakas Matsonn; as well as Sanaa Lathan, as New York attorney Lisa Arthur; Linda Emond, as White House Senior Aide Michelle-Anne Vanderhoven); Jihae, as Public Relations Assistant Berry Schneider; Adrien Brody, as millionaire activist Josh Aaronson; Hope Davis, as Sandi Furness, Sandy Furness’s daughter; and Dasha Nekrasova.
