The latest installment in the franchise, starring Simu Liu, has already hit theaters and has given some hints of what awaits studio fans.

BEWARE, ‘SPOILERS’! The following news contains ‘spoilers’ of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

A new superhero has arrived at the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has already landed in movie theaters and has done so by raising more than 127 million dollars worldwide. With this film, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and starring Simu Liu, fans have been able to meet one of the new characters presented by the Phase 4 of the franchise, but also receive some clues as to what the study chaired by Kevin Feige is up to in the future. How? Through their post-credit scenes.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings It has two scenes once the main plot of the film has finished. In the first, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been reunited with three familiar faces of the franchise: Wong (Benedict Wong) -who previously appears in the film-, Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) and Bruce Banner/Hulk (Mark Ruffalo).

In this scene, Wong, the right hand of Stephen Strange/Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) transfers Shang-Chi and her friend Katy (Awkwafina) to his library for the purpose of studying the Ten Rings. Apparently these gadgets have been sending an indecipherable signal somewhere in the galaxy. Is this a preview of Eternals? The next installment of the franchise, which hits theaters on November 5th, will introduce the Eternals, who have been on Earth for 7,000 years.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings does not specify too much the origin of the Rings, but it does indicate that Wenwu (Tony Leung), Shang-Chi’s father, found them somewhere in the world a long time ago. Therefore, it may in Eternals Let’s discover some connection with the events that occurred in the film starring Liu.

‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’: Who is Brad Allan, the person to whom the film is dedicated?

The post-credit scene shows Bruce Banner and Carol Danvers through holograms, just like in Avengers: Endgame when Natasha Romanoff/Black widow (Scarlett Johansson) is running what’s left of the team after the snap of Thanos (Josh Brolin). While Captain Marvel has to leave quickly because she has received a warning, Bruce Banner appears in his human form and not as Professor Hulk. In addition, he wears a sling, as his arm was damaged after snapping his fingers with the Infinity Stones to bring the missing back.

When Wenwu uses the Rings, they turn blue. When Shang-Chi becomes their new owner, they change to a golden tone, something reminiscent of the magic of Doctor Strange. Will we also see any connection to Shang-Chi in Marvel’s Sorcerer Supreme sequel titled Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness?

As for the second post-credit scene, it confirms that Xialing (Meng’er Zhang) has become the successor to her father Wenwu as the leader of The Ten Rings. Once that scene ends, a message appears on the screen warning that the organization will reappear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. What remains to be discovered is how Xialing will use the Ten Rings. Will she be a hero or a new villain?
