The first anniversary of Irfan: Irrfan Khan’s ‘The Lunchbox’ co-star Nimrat Kaur said – ‘He was a very extraordinary person, he had enough to frame’
It is the first death anniversary of Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan. Irfan died on 29 April 2020 at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai after fighting a battle of cancer for two years. After the death of the actor, there was a deep silence in the film world.
Actress Nimrat Kaur, who shared the screen with Irrfan Khan in the film ‘The Lunchbox’, believes Irrfan’s mere presence was enough for a frame. During a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, Nimrat shared some special memories associated with Irrfan.
Irrfan’s presence was enough for one frame:
Nimrat says, “It feels very strange to talk about Irrfan in the past, it is still hard to believe that they are no longer in our midst. Without Irfan, Indian cinema is no longer the same. Unfortunately, I did a film with him but did not work. During the shooting for just one day of our film ‘The Lunchbox,’ we both were present at a location. We shot a scene there but there was no dialogue between us.
However, Irrfan’s mere presence was enough for one frame. Obviously, at that time it seemed that I would get more opportunities to work with Irrfan, but it did not happen. Even today when I think about it, it feels strange. Wanted to work together, but perhaps destined something else. ”
The actress further adds, “Even though there was no opportunity to spend time with Irrfan during the shooting of the film, he was with many film festivals. Believe me, he was a very extraordinary person. The command he had on his language was really I was very good, he did not need any vocabulary as an actor. The way he interacted with people, he would look as if he did not take himself seriously.
While interacting with the people around him, There was a different culture that one would be impressed by seeing. I also talked to some of his colleagues and they also say that working with Irrfan is my own fun, not someone as comfortable as him. Somewhere. Somewhere his personality is reflected in his characters as well. ”
Irrfan would lighten up every atmosphere:
Nimrat further states that Irfan’s sense of humor was amazing. She says, “The way Irrfan used to lighten up every atmosphere was really impressive for the people around him. He did such a good job in cinema but never let his stardom dominate him. It was his best thing. ”
When we heard the news of the demise, there was a deep silence for some time:
During the conversation, Nimrat told that he was already aware of Irfan’s illness and at that time he was sure that he would definitely win this disease battle. She says, “I came to know about Irfan’s illness through a common friend, and the only thing that came to my mind at the time was – it is Irfan, will win every battle.
When I heard that ‘English Medium’ ‘I have started shooting, so believe me my happiness was no longer there. But when I heard the news of his death last year, there was a deep silence for some time. For a while, he was not sure that he would say goodbye to us. gave.” Let me tell you, Nimrat Kaur last met Irrfan Khan at an award function.
