Magic, fantasy, and mythical universes in the first images of the series based on the literary saga, which hits Amazon next November.
“The power that you harbor within is the only power and women capable of touching it protect the world.” With this phrase the trailer of The Wheel of Time, the new fantastic series of Amazon Prime Video, which will premiere on the platform on November 19. That day the first three episodes of the first season will be available and each week a new chapter will be released that will culminate with the end on December 24.
The Wheel of Time, starring Rosamund Pike, adapts one of the most popular fantasy sagas of all time, with more than 90 million books sold based on the universe created by Robert Jordan. The literary collection has 15 books with the same title, and its director, Rafe Judkins, has said of the audiovisual version that it is the perfect bridge between Game of Thrones and The Lord of the rings.
The trailer for this long-awaited series that has been over Two years filming in the Czech Republic, it shows us a mythical, rugged world of snow-capped mountains, wild mighty rivers and dense forests. It is a universe ruled by powerful women, capable of controlling magic to protect the world.

But also, the trailer shows the most terrible side of this fantastic universe, which also inhabits the dark creatures, some of them without eyes, and showing their sharp teeth. In the trailer it also shows us battles, and confrontations, and a palatial city on a mountain where the story begins.

And we also see the protagonist, Rosamund Pike, using her light magic against the occurring elements, in shots that are reminiscent of the Netflix series of Shadow and Bone, in which the villain is also called The dark.
The Spanish actor Álvaro Morte (The Professor of The Money Heist) will also participate in this series in which he plays the evil Login, although in the trailer we have not yet been able to see him.
What is it about
The story is set in a vast and epic world where magic exists and only a few women can access it. It starts when the protagonist, Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), a member of an incredibly powerful women’s organization called Aes Sedai, arrives in the small town of Dos Ríos. There he embarks on a dangerous journey around the world with five young men, one of whom has been prophesied as the Dragon Reborn and who will save or destroy humanity.
The new series of Amazon is based on Celtic and Norse mythology and is co-produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television.
