He had become an essential character of the show since 2015. After seven seasons spent alongside Philippe Etchebest and Hélène Darroze, who arrived at the same time as him, he therefore returns his apron.

“The adventure stops for me. Know one thing: I will really miss you, but we will certainly meet again. See you very soon, thank you all,” once again told his subscribers the one who played the “yellow team” “since season 6.

Contacted by “La Dépêche du Midi” this Tuesday afternoon, he confirmed that this departure from Top Chef was not his decision. “The show wanted to change. They decided to replace me”, indicates the Toulouse cook, who confirms that his departure from the famous culinary tele-hook of the chain is “a little bad”. “It’s more than a show, it’s a social phenomenon. I had a great time on the set. I was very attached to the values ​​of Top Chef. It is certain that no longer taking part will create a vacuum. But that’s not my job. It’s cooking my job, “says the Michelin-starred chef.

Michel Sarran tells us that TV will possibly be part of his next adventures again. “But I will not do TV to do TV. I will participate in a show that touches me and that suits me,” he warns.
