About Beitou Hot Springs
Taipei’s hot spring district, about 30 minutes by MRT from the city centre. The public outdoor bath at Beitou Park is one of the great travel bargains anywhere, and the Beitou Museum β a former bathhouse from the Japanese era β is worth an hour.
Some baths here use the area’s distinctive green-sulphur “jade” water, found in only two places on earth. The free foot baths in the park are perfect for the curious.
